Science Direct & Mac Users:

Are you a Macintosh user? Some of our Mac users have reported problems with downloading PDF documents from Science Direct.

This appears to be a conflict between Safari and Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.5. If you hold the control button, click on the PDF link and select "download link to disk", you'll find you can save the file to your hard drive and view it easily from there.
